We started discussing "Seeking True Democracy" but the posts deteriorated into a series of comments on unrelated topics. That's unfortunate. Such an unfocussed atmosphere is a detriment to the thoughtful examination of even simple ideas.

I wonder if there's a lesson in what happened here?

If folks who profess to be serious in their pursuit of Direct Democracy are unable to focus on a single theme, how can we expect a wide-open discussion by the public to do better?
