Thanks for the update on George Sagi.
"Get involved in local politics within the established structures." "Work for direct democracy." Seems contradictory.
However, I am aware of at least one concept that moves toward aligning these two imperatives. This is the VoteDirect program:
The main idea of VoteDirect is that the candidate pledges to be directed by referenda within his/her district. Needs work and practical experience I think. But still, maybe a way out of the box.
