I have an issue with somebody deciding where I stand on the political compass. Left, right, liberal, democrat, party, affiliation. I want to come to an opinion based on logical, coherent argument. I want people to pick holes in my opinions, so I can change them or mold them into conviction concerning a specific issue. I want my representative to seek my opinion on every issue, not because I'm a member of his party, not because I agree with him but because my opinion should count. In fact I demand that my opinion counts. 'Direct democracy', not 'direct democracy when you agree with me'.
