To me it is obvious. We must change our political system if we want to grow.
Any change in our political system should be expected to take generations as it can only be accomplished through the population’s acceptance of the new set of values and understandings. To rush into any change in our political system would not only harm future potential growth, but could also destabilize our present system which is filled with checks and balances that work. On the other hand if we wait too long we’ll be lost in another totalitarian society run by the very wealthy who are increasingly using modern communication tools to control the population. The most important thing is, to begin; giving the people of the world, time to do a proper well thought out job of reforming our democracies.
