A truer democracy, if it can be established, will counter the business

There's a simple way to break the vicious circle democracy-business
interest-expoitation: pay our politicians less than a mason, with no
fringe benefits. If power is service to the population and not to the
same elites, then it must be economically disadvantageous. Politicians
should have an average salary. As long as politicians have the benefits
of CEOs, they won't behave differently.
Another way to break that circle is the degrowth, but this heavy topic
would require a heavy discussion about methods and reasons.
It's much more simple to keep things as they are, and buy a new SUV.
