1. Why have you become a WDDM member? I am looking for a group of people
devoted to DD. "World-Wide Direct Democracy Movement" implies a clear goal
which I believe is key to making it happen.

2. What should WDDM try to achieve? Enactment of a global DD constitution.

3. Does WDDM need a decision making mechanism (voting)?

Doesn't everyone need a decision making mechanism? I guess the question is,
should the decision making be democratic? I don't see why not. If the
membership can not trust itself to be democratic how can we trust the world?

I realize there is the potential for sabotage by non-democratic forces. This
is a chance I'm willing to take. I think if the process is goal oriented it
will withstand such pressure. By goal oriented, I mean the goal needs to be
set as global DD via a global DD constitution. By a global DD constitution
it should be a simple one person - one vote system with respect to how this
constitution is to be amended. No other 'democratic' initiatives should be
allowed to interfere with this goal. Anyone who doesn't agree with this goal
or who thinks there are other objectives besides this goal should be
censured.

4. Is there any point to wait any longer that any spontaneous progress
(self-organization) will be made on issues that were moved to
http://www.world-wide-democracy.net/Wiki/AdjournedHistoricalTopics section?

There is no point in waiting to liberate ourselves from a non-democratic
world. All issues that divert attention from the goal of global DD should be
removed. Some may ask how to make such decisions. If we organize ourselves
around our own DD constitution then we can all participate equally in
guiding the ship. This doesn't mean that every decision needs to be voted
on. All it means is that the decision making process be amendable by the
members.

I propose we enact for ourselves a DD constitution which gives each of us
the power to question this process. Like the global DD constitution we
envision for the world it simply allows each member to vote on how the
constitution can be amended. Once this is established then decision making
gets vested in that system. Anything more or anything less will be seen as
contradictory to our stated goal and thus hypocritical. As DD advocates, we
have the power to be non-hypocrites. Let's not forsake that by being
anything but.

5. Should instead a small group of active WDDM members formulate all the
basic documents (Mission. Goals, Rules, Voting procedures)?

Certainly. As long as these members are vested with power by a constitution
decided by all.

6. Do you want to be a part of the group? Hell, yeah!

7. Should the WDDM mailing list be fully moderated (any postings would have
to be approved by one or two moderators to avoid tons of junk mail)?

Questions like this should be put to the decision making process vested by
our constitution.

8. Do you need interactive dynamical site?

I think a more eye catching site with a forum connected to email would be
better. The nice thing about Wiki is that it is easy to maintain. Since we
are in an embryonic state, I think if we connected the Wiki to this forum
and focused our efforts on a WDDM constitution we could leave it at that for
now.

9. Do you like/dislike WDDM Wiki?

I'm not all that familiar with it but I will say this. It is quite drab.

10. How complicated is this Wiki to use?

I haven't used it so no comment.

11. Have you tried to read
http://www.world-wide-democracy.net/Wiki/GettingStarted

I have tried to connect with the group via the email list. Since this list
has been rather disjointed of late I have not been inspired to go much
further.

12. Should Wiki be replaced or supplemented by something else interactive?
What?

I could see just a phpBB forum being the core of the site sans Wiki. Wiki it
seems to me is better suited for defining terms than for group organizing.
Perhaps a straightforward web-site would be less intimidating to people.
