Dear George,
thank you for your letter! I consider the Charter + Coalition concept as more promising than the WWDDM concept, since what we try to do now is bottom up and not so formal. In some respects, it might fill the vacuum left after the NDDIE, but it´s an improvement, since we strive for a change of paradimg, not only for the inclusion of I&R, as you rightly point out. A support coming from the cradle of democracy has both a symbolic and real importance.
Hoping for substantial progress in 2009, I wish you and all DD friends all the best in the year to come!
Sincerely,
Jiri

> I wish you all the best and Seasons Greetings for the New Year 2009, that could be a year for Renaissance of Direct Democracy , according to the messagges that I receive from the revolutionary generation of our teen agers here in Greece, after the death-murdering of their beloved class mate Alexis from a policeman, as you probably know!
> I am happy to see even closer contacts between Broadminded Direct Democrats as all of you! I think that our colleagues of D.D. who limit Direct Democracy only in Initiatives and Referenda are more or less narrow-minded. Otherwise, colleagues who try to find ways and answers for Deliberative Direct Democracy that put models of an alternative
directdemocratic structure of human societies can lead the DD Movement in its real destination!

>> Dear Fred,
>> that´s good news indeed! I am ready to meet you at your convenience. The best would be if you could take a train from Copenhagen airport directly to Lund. I live in a small town about 10 km from Lund. I could meet you at the station and take you by car to my home, if there were time for that. If not, we could at least drop in at a restaurant. My telephone is 046-58891.
>> Looking forward to meeting you I remain
