Dear Doctor Ramanujachary,

The main reason for the existence of political parties surely is the
widespread custom of allowing a majority of elected persons to initiate
and impose decisions. A minimum remedy seems to me to be lobbing for
proportional representation. where each voter numbers in preferred
order each candidate, or as many candidates as (s)he desires, This
seems easier to achieve in smaller communities, including Tasmania (the
smallest Australian state), Eire (which thus escapes the religious
confrontations that have so devastated Northern Ireland under British
rule), and Switzerland a federation of cantons, with proportional
representation within the national ministry.
In supranational affairs the most urgent remedial project may be the

The rule of the Political parties, with their
nepotism, corruption, short-sightedness as to National
Interests and similar deplorable practices is totally
avoidable. The work of such parties should reasonably
limited to 'creating public awareness' of the issues.
Forming governments on the basis of majority is not
encourageable. Once elected to the Legislature, the
candidate becomes a Peoples' Representative, and not a
Party worker. Unless parochialism is made to die down
and National Consciousness is built, the systems of
governance cannot effectively built.

have discussed this matter under the proposal forum.
I am now posting a draft for the proposed World True

feel that World Direct Democracy Platform is a more
