Subject: Filtering off-topic material

Hi,
I'm ok on blocking off-topic materials. The stuff from Sabzali Khan, for
example, is authoritarian utopianism that doesn't have much to do with
direct democracy.
I can see though where it's hard, or even unfair, to put that filtering
responsibility on a couple of webmasters. This kind of situation points
up one of the many benefits of a charter. A charter would broadly define
direct democracy and would limit active membership to those espousing
direct democracy.

PS. For those interested in a charter may I direct your attention to a
note I posted on 1/3/07? Thanks

Hi!
Do you want to receive e-mails, like the one attached, from this
Sabzali Khan? I personally think that what he promotes is not
compatible at all with our promotion of direct democracy in why
everybody has equal voice and equal potential for development.
He divides people into classes between which there is hardly possible
any movement (that was my conclusion after discussion with him in
another forum). In his system, people are more or less forced to stay
forever in the class in which they are born.
It's not just professional associations what he is talking about, in
his system every class' influence on the governance of a society is
not equal.
I've ignored his postings to this list in the past, explained to him
why I did it (see above), but he keeps sending postings now and then
again.
What am I (or Bruce, who has been actually doing most moderation
recently) supposed to do with them? Continue to ignore them?
This is his classification of people:

(P-I) Thinkers Types of Citizens.
Bar Associations, Barristers Associations
and Chamber Associations etc.

(P-II) Curative types of Citizens.
Doctor’s / Surgeon’s Associations, Nurse Unions and
Paramedical Staff Association/Unions etc

(P-III) Technical types of Citizens
Engineer’s Councils/Associations etc, Technical Staff
Unions etc.

(P-IV) Instructive types of Citizens. Lecturers/Teachers
Associations/Unions, Students
Unions etc

(P-V) Cultivator types of Citizens.
Tenants /Cultivators Unions and Farmer
Associations/ Unions etc

(P-VI) Labor types of Citizens.
Trade Unions of Labors and organizations etc

(P-VII) Protective types of Citizens.
Retired Army, Navy, Air Force Officials / Officers
Association /Foundation/Organizations etc Police,
Fire Brigade, Cops, Militia, Scouts, Marines, FBI,
CIA, Investigations Officers, cops etc
& Organizations.

(P-VIII) Entertainment producers’ types of Citizens.
Players Associations/Unions, Artists organizations /Associations,
Musical Unions/Organizations, Journalists Unions/Organizations etc.

(P-IX) Resourceful types of Citizens.
Chamber of Commerce Organizations, Bankers Associations, Traders
Associations, Investors Associations etc

P.S. Although the moderation of this list was apparently helpful, the
fact that it is done by one or two people is rather undemocratic. We
should better move on to "collective moderation", something similar to
what is done at kuro5hin,
