The latest below from John Seale on the
Solomon Islands
Yes it seems that the Australian government’s attempts to destabilize the Sogavare government are lessening in their severity and some have back-fired. Nevertheless the RAMSI mechanisms are all still in place and before we can institute the grand plan “Solomons Useful Manufactures” (SUM) – named after the similar project with the same acronym started by Alexander Hamilton, the Treasury, Central Bank and the government’s legal unit headed by the Attorney General all need to be cleansed of Australian oversight. Dudley Tausinga who resigned as Deputy Prime Minister was in effect forced to resign following the reshuffle of his portfolio from Forests to Minerals. He had his fist in the forestry cookie jar and had to be got rid of without destabilizing the Coalition. It was his fellow party representatives (not SoCred) in the parliament who forced his resignation after having first reaffirmed their loyalty to the SoCred coalition government. Wish you all a merry christmas and a happy year Cheers Martin Jackson |
