Hello
At a time when the EU is placing great burdens on its citizens, we need more European
democracy. Currently the citizens are too often left on the sidelines. Now we welcome
a new proposal to extend citizen's rights before the Parliament, but unfortunately powerful
interests want to block it. Together we can prevent that happening.
Together with several groups from all over Europe we have started a petition. But we don’t
have much time: the Members of Parliament will decide soon.
Now it’s up to you - the citizens of Europe. If we act together we may be able to prevent this
initiative from failing. At the moment, this is the only one of the many official EU proposals which
aims to expand citizens’ rights in Europe - so PLEASE sign this appeal from Democracy
International. Now.
