There are of course good people in Israel too who are struggling against their government's actions, unfortunately far too few of them, apparently, to affect the Israeli government's drive to conquer as much territory as it can and drive the remaining Palestinians into their diaspora.
While the corporate media in the U.S. focuses our attention on the slaughter in Lebanon, the remarkable popular rising of the majority of people in the State of Oaxaca is receiving scant if any notice. But in the long run its impact may be enormous, because what is at stake is not merely a political change of who controls the hierarchical governing power structure, but doing away entirely with that hierarchy and its coercive power, replacing it with an entirely different form of government.
