I agree with most of comments, however there are slight differences of
opinion.
The internet should be an ideal way of communicating ...... but the usual
human reaction is to react instead of consider.
Broadband has made this worse instead of better, too many with it read
something then react by banging out a response instead thinking about it.
I see the 'react' response in too many physical meetings, business and
council, it is a throw-back of the animal-in-the-wild we 'evolved' from.
There is ways that the internet problem could be overcome, I have less
confidence in overcoming the animal instinct of reaction.
The unfortunate thing about reactors is the 'best'/quickest become the
political leaders, TV has made this worse, the quick responder comes out
with a platitude to appease the public, the serious thinker who considers
all the options is left on the side lines looking like the village idiot.

The first WDDM fell by the wayside because of organisation/rules/etc, do you
want this one to follow the same path.
How can anyone educate people about democracy when;
a) no one knows how it could work, and that would likely to vary according
to the people and location
b) no one is looking at the negative aspects.
c) no one has any practical experience, AND
d) WDDM itself excludes the great unwashed who it says should have the power
of veto over government decisions.
e) it lacks the confidence of it's declared convictions i.e. power to the
people.

I am an activist:
a) at grassroots level where everyone should be to learn the realities of
what they talk about.
b) at fighting self-empowering elites where ever I find them.
