Hello Milad:

If I am not mistaken, was it you who joined us in Athens and Delphi? If
so, everyone I talked to and with at the Conferences there were very
impressed by you and your description of the citizens meetings in Libya.
At that time, however, Libya was still considered a bit outside the
mainstream by Europeans and Americans...but now the situation is a bit
different and more conducive to interaction and discussion.

I think this is a perfect place for our discussions to start about what
is happening around the world that is directly democratic within various
cultures. So, Milad, why don't you inform those of us who are not
familiar with the Green Auditorium, or local citizens assemblies (which
as I recall are discussed in The Green Book at length)...as to what they
are, how they work and what they actually accomplish.

After all, people in the West seem to believe that there is no democracy
among Arabs...unless pressure comes from the West for democracy there.

Dear Antonio

I hope you are doing ok with all the projects your involved in.
I just wonder what is the situation with WDDM. I have not
heard much about it for a long time. Is George from Greece
still active in WDDM?. The Green Audutorium in Libya ( an
academic institue promoting the concept of direct democracy)
is willing to invite members of WDDM for an open debate
about the subject of DD and our experience of popular assemblies
(congresses) in Libya and to exchange experiences with WDDM
members about DD. How do you think could be initiated and to
whom should be sent.
