John Baker:
The WDDM is an organization whose only goal is to facilitate the enactment of a democatic world constitution. A constitution whose binding principle is the ideal that all citizens everywhere shall share equally the responsibility of deciding humanity's collective fate.

The extent of democractic involvement includes solely the right to decide via initiative and referendum the authority of said constitution. So that all issues outside of vesting contitutional authority in the majority are put aside.

All members believe in the neccessity of this cause.

Similarly, each member brings to the group an equal share of responsibility for governing the group. For this purpose, we have enacted our own democractic constitution to vest authority in ourselves over group decision making.

Membership thus includes the right to vote via initaiative and referendum how authority will be designated within the group.

Consequently, all members agree to abide by such authority with respect to group involvement knowing that they have been given an equal opportunity to participate in its charter.

Antonio Rossin:
It seems to me, John's draft above is fitter for Democracy
(elitist) deciding, rather than for Democracy serving.

Since Direct Democracy has to be decided by the people
outside, not by any organized authority inside, I would
modify the above draft as follows:

WDDM is an organization of free citizens whose main
goal is to facilitate the enactment of Direct Democracy in
any collective policy making, either locally and worldwide.

To this aim, WDDM shall:

1. state a Constitution whose binding principle is that all
citizens everywhere share equal responsibility of deciding
their home policies as well as humanity's collective fate.
Such WDDM Constitution is initially drafted by a devoted
Committee, and then decided and/or emended via Initiative
and Referendum;

2. set up a database to collect and display any other
democratic knowledge.

WDDM Membership democratic involvement includes
therefore the right-duty to decide via I&R, and voting,
how the authority of said Constitutional Committee will
be designated.

Consequently, all WDDM members agree to abide
by such Constitutional authority with respect to group
involvement in constitutional matters, knowing that they
share equal opportunity to participate in its charter.
